CapMonster alternative

The CapMonster Alternative That Solves On Your Own Machine

CapMonster Cloud is cheap per solve, yet the bill still rises with every run. CapSkip solves on hardware you control for a single monthly price, and your CapMonster-ready tools keep working.

Few people hunt for a CapMonster alternative because one solve costs too much. CapMonster Cloud charges very little per recognition. The trouble is how those small charges stack up: each one comes out of a prepaid balance, so a job that doubles in size doubles the spend, and a busy month means more top-ups.

CapSkip takes the meter away. This Windows program does the recognition on hardware you run yourself (a PC, VPS or server) and leaves ZennoLab's servers out of it, for one monthly price that covers as many CAPTCHAs as your hardware can handle. Like CapMonster Cloud it relies on AI rather than human workers. Unlike it, nothing about your targets is uploaded and there is no remote queue: an image CAPTCHA takes about 0.1 seconds, a reCAPTCHA or Turnstile check roughly 3 to 10 seconds.

Moving over leaves your setup intact, because CapSkip can answer requests written for CapMonster Cloud. To be straight about the numbers: below roughly 58,300 reCAPTCHA v2 solves a month, CapMonster's meter is the cheaper deal. Above that line the flat plan wins, and the gap widens with every extra run.

Keep every CapMonster setting you have. Open CapSkip, mark CapMonster as the service it answers for, and press Add. From then on, jobs your tools address to CapMonster Cloud are solved right on your computer, with the same key in place. For manual browsing, the extension takes care of it. What changes when you replace CapMonster Cloud

One price, however much you solve

CapMonster Cloud takes something from your balance for every recognition. CapSkip charges one monthly amount, so a job that grows tenfold costs exactly what it cost before.

Turnstile and GeeTest at no premium

On CapMonster Cloud, Turnstile ($1.30 per 1,000) and GeeTest ($1.20) cost about twice as much as reCAPTCHA v2. With CapSkip they are simply part of the monthly plan, priced like any other type.

Your CapMonster setup keeps running

Bots and programs built for CapMonster Cloud hand their jobs to CapSkip after one click in the app. The requests they send and the answers they expect stay the same.

Still AI, now on your own hardware

Neither service puts human workers on your challenges. The difference is location: CapSkip keeps its models on the PC or VPS you choose, so pages and images are never uploaded and no shared queue slows you down.

A stand-in for the CapMonster extension

Swap the CapMonster add-on for ours, made for Chrome and Firefox. It leans on CapSkip running locally, asks for no key, and deals with reCAPTCHA, Turnstile and GeeTest v3 as pages load.

Grow by machines, not by top-ups

Need more done at once? Add devices instead of buying balance. Silver runs twice as many solves in parallel as Bronze, Gold three times, and no plan limits threads.

The extension, for work in the browser

Where you used the CapMonster add-on, install the CapSkip one for Chrome or Firefox. Paired with the app on the same computer, it needs no key and clears supported challenges as pages load.

SDKs for whatever you build next

Starting a new project? Official libraries (Python and Node.js, plus PHP and .NET) reduce each solve to one call, with no submit, wait and collect routine to write.

Your current CapMonster code, unchanged

Programs built around CapMonster Cloud, 2Captcha or another supported service go on sending requests exactly as before; the only difference is that the answers now come from hardware you control.

Watch a live solve before you switch

Our demo pages load real challenges, from the reCAPTCHA checkbox to Turnstile and GeeTest. Open them while the CapSkip app and extension are running, watch each answer come back locally, then decide which CapMonster jobs to move across.

Leave the CapMonster balance behind in three steps

  1. Install CapSkip where your jobs run

Install the app on the very machine that handles your CapMonster jobs today, whether desktop, VPS or server. Solving then happens quietly in the background right there. Download the Windows installer

  2. Pick a plan by device count

Every plan includes every CAPTCHA type and unlimited solving; you only decide how many machines run CapSkip. Prefer to test first? Try it free, with no card asked for, then log in with the details you receive. See the three plans

  3. Switch your tools over in the app

Select CapMonster in the service emulator and click Add. Nothing in your bots needs editing, and the next job they send is solved on your own hardware. Follow the setup guide

CapMonster vs CapSkip: what you pay and where it runs

Neither service puts human workers on your CAPTCHAs, so the real contrast is the billing model and whose computers do the work.

Other CapMonster alternatives compared

CapMonster Cloud already sits near the bottom on per-solve price, so compare on how each service solves and what happens to your bill as volume grows.

ServiceWho or what solvesreCAPTCHA v2 per 1,000Compared with CapMonster Cloud
CapSkipLocal AI, on a machine you runFlat $35 a month on BronzeAnswers CapMonster requests locally, at any volume
CapSolverCloud-hosted machine learning$0.80Cloud AI as well, at a higher list rate
SolveCaptchaAI for easy tasks, people for hard ones$0.55A little cheaper per solve, but people see some tasks and the API differs
Anti-CaptchaPeople only, by its own account$0.95 to $2Similar request style, human workers instead of AI

Rates for reCAPTCHA v2 come from each vendor's own price page, checked September 2026. CapSkip has no hCaptcha or FunCaptcha support, worth knowing if your targets use either.

Where CapMonster Cloud is still the better buy

The flat plan is not cheaper for everyone. With per-token rates this low, light users are better off where they are.

Fewer than 58,300 reCAPTCHA v2 a month

Below roughly 58,300 a month, paying $0.60 per 1,000 costs less than a Bronze month at $35. If your volume sits there and stays there, keep the meter.

A workload of mostly text CAPTCHAs

On CapMonster Cloud, text recognition is $0.30 per 1,000, which means Bronze only wins past about 116,700 a month. A text-only job under that stays cheaper there.

Cheaper than CapMonster: break-even points and picking a plan

CapMonster Cloud is one of the least expensive per-solve services around, which is exactly why switching deserves real numbers rather than a slogan. At $0.60 per 1,000 reCAPTCHA v2 passes, $35 buys roughly 58,300 of them. Below that monthly volume the meter is the better deal and you should keep it. Above it, every extra pass is money you stop spending.

The crossover moves with your mix. Dearer types reach it far sooner: Turnstile at $1.30 per 1,000 crosses at about 27,000 a month, GeeTest at $1.20 near 29,200. Plain text CAPTCHAs at $0.30 hold out until about 116,700. Retries count as well, because a pass that expires before you use it was still a recognition you paid for.

Once the flat price wins, the next question is how many machines you need. Every plan covers identical CAPTCHA types at identical accuracy, and none of them caps volume or threads, so the tiers differ only in how many computers run CapSkip at once. Speed per machine depends on its processor and memory. reCAPTCHA, Turnstile and GeeTest each open a real browser in the background, so heavy runs call for at least 32 GB of RAM.

Bronze ($35 a month) suits one well-equipped PC or VPS. Silver ($60, two devices) doubles how many CAPTCHAs can be in progress together, and Gold ($75, three devices) triples it, which brings the cost down to $25 per machine. If one box keeps up with your jobs, stay on Bronze; if runs start waiting on CPU or memory, add a machine. A license moves between computers as often as you like, and changing tiers never carries a setup fee.

Where is the break-even between CapMonster Cloud and a flat CapSkip plan?
For reCAPTCHA v2 it sits near 58,300 solves a month: at CapMonster Cloud's September 2026 list price of $0.60 per 1,000, that is what the $35 Bronze month buys. Pricier types cross much sooner, Turnstile at roughly 27,000 and GeeTest near 29,200, while text CAPTCHAs at $0.30 hold out to about 116,700. A mixed workload lands somewhere in between.
Bronze, Silver or Gold: which plan fits a big CapMonster workload?
Choose by how much you need running at the same moment, not by volume, since every plan is unlimited. One strong machine on Bronze handles a lot. When its CPU or memory becomes the bottleneck, Silver adds a second device and doubles parallel solving, and Gold adds a third. All three include the same CAPTCHA types and the same accuracy.
Do extra devices make each individual solve faster?
No. Speed per machine is set by its own processor and memory, whatever the plan. Extra devices raise how many CAPTCHAs are in progress together, so a large batch finishes sooner. For reCAPTCHA, Turnstile and GeeTest, which drive a real browser in the background, 32 GB of RAM per machine is the recommended start.
Will my CapMonster bots and programs keep working?
If they talk to CapMonster Cloud, yes. In CapSkip, make CapMonster the emulated service and press Add; after that, whatever they send is solved on your hardware and returned in the form they already expect. The CapMonster key in your settings can stay, and any balance check receives a placeholder figure, so jobs start normally.
What can my CapMonster setup still send once CapSkip takes over?
Turnstile (both the small box and the full-page check), reCAPTCHA v2 and v3 plus v2 Enterprise, GeeTest v3 slide puzzles, and text or image CAPTCHAs. FunCaptcha, hCaptcha, reCAPTCHA Mobile and GeeTest v4 are not on that list, so work that relies on them needs a service that handles them.
Is there a CapSkip add-on to use instead of the CapMonster extension?
Yes, for Chrome and Firefox, and it comes free with the app. Because it pairs with CapSkip running on the same PC, you never enter a key and nothing draws on a balance. reCAPTCHA, Turnstile and GeeTest v3 are spotted on their own; an image CAPTCHA needs you to mark the picture and the field for its answer one time.
CapMonster or CapSolver: does the cheaper one still matter after I switch?
On list price CapMonster Cloud undercuts CapSolver for reCAPTCHA v2, $0.60 against $0.80 per 1,000 (both checked September 2026), and both run machine learning in the cloud. CapSkip can stand in for either service and charges nothing per solve, so the per-1,000 comparison stops mattering once you are past the break-even point.
I used to run CapMonster on my own PC. Is CapSkip similar?
In the way that matters, yes: CapSkip is a Windows program you install yourself on a PC, VPS or server, and recognition happens there rather than on someone else's servers. What differs from a cloud account is the billing, since nothing is counted per solve and one monthly plan covers it all.
